Having parked at the entrance to Rodellar, head towards the area known as "La Honguera ". To the right of the country houses, as you reach a small gorge, take the path which leads to the small village of Cheto, via a magnificent forest of ilex and boxwood.
It is of great interest the extensive group of lifted walls following the constructive technique of the dry stone, without cement, and that surround both sides of the road and the perimeter of the old cultivation fields.
In Cheto it will be necessary to take a path to the right, just as it points out one of the numerous indications that exist along the whole journey. The road continues among walls, in those that call the attention the type of used apparel, because the stones are prepared in vertical position.
Before arriving to the hermitage from the Romanesque of the Virgin of the Castle it is necessary to cross the ravines of Fornacal and of the Virgin, while one enjoys magnificent views of the final tract of the canyon of Mascún, where The Ventaneles and the Ravine of Andrebot arise. Once the bottom of the Virgin's ravine is reached, it is only to overcome the hillside in search of the hermitage of the Virgin of the Castle.
From this place it can be admired the singular one and emblematic calcareous formation of the Citadel and the Cuca Bellosta.
The return to Rodellar can be made by another path, without necessity of going again to Cheto. After crossing the Virgin's ravine, it should be continued by the path until arriving to the crossing of roads in which the indication appears to Rodellar. Something later you arrive to the main road that leads directly to the town. If we want, the trip can be completed descending until the bottom of the ravine of Mascún and to visit the "Ventaneles" and the Ravine of Andrebot.
