Throughout centuries the village of Naval has been strongly linked to the tradition of making pottery, which was introduced by the Moors during the Middle Ages. The old potter’s workshop of Casa Palomera has recently been completely refurbished and now serves as the Pottery Visitor Centre. The displays bring the ancient art of pot-making to life, and highlight how the industry has shaped the history of the village until the present day.
An impressive audiovisual display shown in the old workshop, takes the visitor into the world of one of the region’s oldest trades, and pays special attention to the unique features of Naval pottery. |
